How many of you have been told by your parents at least once in your life, "Don't grow up too fast!" Well as true as the statement is, I don't think parents should be allowed to give it! Honestly, 75% of the time they're the reason kids want to grow up yeah? Your parents tell you, you can't do something so you're immediate reaction is to think "when I get older I won't have to ask for permission," or simply "I can't wait till I'm in college," etc. I'm one of those people that really doesn't like the idea of growing up sometimes and would much rather stay a kid, but sometimes I'd rather be an adult because in my mind I'm thinking "My household will be so much different when I get older," or "I'll let my kids do this when I get older." It's really frustrating because when they say it, it's such a contradictory statement. Basically what's being said is "Don't grow up too fast, even though the only reason you want to grow up is because of something I did, so technically I'm just increasing your want to grow up." I mean that's what I get out of it! Anyway, that's my little tidbit. CATS opens in a week and a half and their still so much to do! My grandmother comes Friday, which I'm excited about, and my parents leave for Spain on the 6th I believe. That's basically what's going on right now, so if you don't hear from me for a little while know it's because I'm at rehearsal!
cheers for now

Sooo as most of you know, yesterday was Ash Wednesday! I know, party party lols. This year I am giving up meat. I thought this was a good one, cause I'm not a big beef/pork person, but I do eat a lot of chicken and seafood! I've been told that I need to eat sea food so that I get protein, but I'm going to try and limit the amount of seafood I eat. Is anyone else giving up something for lent? In years past I've given up things like caffeine (this was really hard because I love tea and chocolate drinks from Godiva) and sweets (that was a fail.). I think I can do it this year! I'm determined and willing to give it up for god (:

The site is going through a lot of changes right now because I have recently switched hosts! I have moved from Parade Hosting to Tranquilium Hosting! Thanks again to Vicky for being AWESOME and hosting me (: So if you see any pages that are a little off or non-existent then don't worry, it should be fixed soon. Anyways, I'm heading out. It's my friend's 16th birthday and we're going out to dinner with another friend.
cheers for now

Yes yes the Winter Olympics are here! Did anyone watch the opening ceremony? I thought they were quite lovely! The dancers were phenomenal especially the tap dancers. I'm really excited to watch and see how the US does, and I'm hoping Canada does well too. I mean it is in their country! Every time I watch the Olympics it makes me feel inspired to try harder at everything especially dance and piano (which I'm taking back up soon). For some reason it never has an effect on my drive for graphic design though.I think i's because I don't get discouraged with graphic design? It's one of the few things I'm always trying to improve at ya know? I see layouts and I'm inspired to do something that great. Thanks for all the complements on the layout btw!! They meant a lot!! Back to the Olympics though, the person I'm looking at the most this Olympic season is J.R. Celski. I feel like everyone always tells about how they never gave up etc, but he said in an interview that he stopped at one point. I think it's more relate-able that he quit, admitted he had doubts, and then picked it back up again because he loved it so much. And he's going to Berkley next year which I'm really jealous about. SUCH a good school (:

Speaking of schools, I've been doing more college research lately and I'm being more realistic and focused on every part of the school especially their international relations and study aboard programs. I would really love to go to University of Richmond, Emory, College of William and Mary, Elon, or University of Rochester. Below is the list:

Reaches
Emory
College of William and Mary
Wellesley
Elon University
Vassar

Matches
University of Richmond
University of Rochester
Skidmore College
American University
Connecticut College
Boston University
University of Michigan
Southern Methodist
